We endeavour to provide each child with a nurturing and welcoming environment which respectfully and positively stimulates learning and development. The learning environment will be safe, secure and caring in order to foster independence, positive self-esteem and confidence.
The kindergarten values and embraces relationships between peers and with educators, while also recognising the importance of building partnerships with families. We appreciate and welcome input and suggestions from families and the community, including the appreciation of support within the community hub from various professionals and services.
We offer a play based curriculum supported by the Victoria Early Years Learning and Development Framework. Open ended experiences promote discovery and questioning in order for children to make sense of their world, either individually or in small or large groups.
Educators encourage children to share their ideas and understandings in order to recognise their strengths and interests. The program will reflect the strengths and interests of individuals and the group which enhances their connection to experiences, relationships, the community and learning in general.
We believe that families are the primary educators of all children and we recognise, support and celebrate the similarities and differences in the culture, beliefs and values of all individuals within the learning community.
We are pleased to announce that we will be operating the kindergarten program from the new Westall Community Hub in 2018 – 35 Fairbank Road, Clayton South.
